Court Day

We had our day in court with Emma yesterday. We're almost to the end point of this process....yippee!!!

The Weekend

What do you do when you become suddenly ill but still have to take care of a little one, two dogs and a husband that is more ill then you.....crochet! :) That's right....while it was hard to move around yesterday I had to stay up so that Emma and the dogs could have some playtime. I watched them while I sat on the couch and crocheted some hats with flowers. If my house was going to be dirty (oh, and it was) I thought at least I was doing something productive. These hats turned out so adorable. Make sure you come back to my blog on St.Patrick's Day to see what other special things I've been crocheting.

I have been practicing doing different edges for the bottoms of the hats.

Emma loves wearing her new hat I made for her. It has a fresh spring look to it with soft pinks and whites. Tonight she and I headed to church to watch a presentation....it was nice to get out of the house for a while. She did really good until about the last twenty minutes at which point she started to scream. Little girls sure can be loud. ha!

She loves to be wherever I am....and the dogs love to be wherever she is.

Projects and what Emma is Up To

Emma can get in the bottom of her exersaucer and is very happy while there until she tries to get out and then she falls apart. She'll have to figure a way out now that she can get in....but for now I'll just have to help her. :)
I have been busy crocheting. This is a baby blanket and three hats for some little boys I know....now I just need to get out to their place to get it to them. If you think these are cool check out my post tomorrow....James has been under the weather today so I've been playing with Emma all day and taking care of him. It has been easy to sit and just crochet the day away and not feel guilty about it. Oh wait...I did make four loaves of zucchini bread. They turned out yummy.

These are a pair of Mary Jane slippers I make. Getting pictures of projects is difficult for me...I either get the picture to light or not light enough so you'll have to bare with me as I practice with my camera.

My Happy Girl

Emma is a pretty happy girl.
Not much to report except we've been doing the usual around here which is playing, playing and more playing! Oh, we do take the occasional nap here and there also.

Emma loves to give her dad a challenge when he tries to feed her. She loves to blow and be very loud. ha!

Sunday

Emma has found our kitchen floor. She loves banging her hands on the floor because of the noise it makes. She also loves hitting her feet on the filing cabinet. I think she is going to love to sing because she sure made a lot of noise today in church while we were singing. Emma is moving around pretty quickly now.

Emma somehow got these rings around her legs. I think she is starting early on weight lifting. I guess I better get to started doing some of my own lifting so I can keep up with her...oh wait...she is my weight(s)! ha!

Last Week

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from last week.

Emma and her friend Dudley....no, we didn't get another dog. This is my friend Ami's big furry ball of love! He is such a nice dog and Emma had a great time pulling at his face and getting close. :)

Emma just being happy. Emma turned 6 months old last Sunday. She had her 6 month checkup last week and weighs 14 lbs 11 oz. We were there for over an hour...I think the nurse, receptionist and doctor just like to keep us there so they can love on Emma. The nurse said "I just want your baby" when I told her she could adopt and get a cute baby like Emma. ha! It was cute! Emma got two shots and hardly made a peep...I was ready for the screaming but it never happened.

Emma had solids for the first time this week. We have been giving her a half avocado every evening. She seems to like it....at least I think so since she is eating it. I fed her the first night but James did the second night. This is James feeding her in the above photo. He is better at letting her help...ha...I prefer not to have any mess when I feed her. :)

And what is Lily doing in Emma's play pen you ask???? Sometimes Lily just won't get out of her face she just loves her so much. I finally got tired of it. I didn't want to put Lily in her crate because it is in the back room and I want her to be with us...so I plopped her in the pack-n-play. She is pretty content in it.

Emma did a little bit of crawling this week. I really think she would just like to skip crawling altogether and go to walking. ha!
