My Little Bird

Since arriving home from vacation I have been busy unpacking and taking care of what seems to be an endless amount of stuff. I don't mind to much though because I love my stuff. In between the unpacking I've been hooking away. It gives me a break. I've been wanting to hook a bird for a long time and I decided since it was all little pieces I could easily do a piece here and there when I had a moment.
It has been a fun and amusing process for me. They are just so cute.
I do need to practice getting the shapes to turn out correctly but I don't think this was to bad for my first try.
I found the pattern from this fabulous blogger. It has become one of my favorite blogs. She hooks the most pretty things.

My niece snapped this picture of me hooking while on vacation. My yarn and hook go with me everywhere. I have found it a relaxing thing to do while James drives. ha! I would love to knit but there is only so much time in a day.

Yesterday Emma fell asleep at 5:30 in the evening and woke up at 9 this morning. I guess all the snuggles she got last week really wore her out. ha!
We have been trying not to be on the computer so much so we have been listening to lots of music. These are two of my favorites that Emma and I have been listening to since we got home. It is always difficult for me emotionally to adjust back into the daily routine after a trip and these have really lifted my spirits and relaxed me.
